Evidence
Every claim graded. Every source traceable. Every error corrected in public.
Research is abundant; judgement about what it shows is scarce. The evidence record states what is known about a specific claim, how strong that evidence is, whether it applies to your context, and who is accountable for the reading.
Five commitments
What every published Evidence Card guarantees, and what the publishing workflow enforces before anything reaches this site.
Graded
Every Evidence Card grades the strength of the evidence behind one claim, under a published and versioned Evidence Standard. A grade needs at least two independent assessments. It describes the evidence, not the truth of the claim.
Transfer-tested
Evidence from one population, sector or period does not automatically apply to yours. Each card states its context and rates, separately from the grade, how far the evidence transfers.
Traceable
Every source is listed with its locator and its verification and retraction status, so anyone can follow the reading back to the original.
Signed
A named, authorised person approves every published version. Where AI or automated tools assisted, the record says which and for what. They do not approve anything.
Current
Each card shows when its evidence was last reviewed and when the next review is due. Approved versions are never edited; a change of grade is logged publicly in the Corrections Ledger.
The method
Grades are issued under the Evidence Standard v1.0. How BUILD IT grades the strength of evidence behind a specific claim, and separately judges whether that evidence transfers to a reader's context. A grade is a disclosed judgement made by named reviewers under this published method. It is not a claim of objective truth and does not by itself recommend any decision.
Draft — not yet adopted.
No formal grades are issued until a version is published.

Cards appear here once a named reviewer has approved them. Until a version of the Evidence Standard is adopted, no card carries a formal grade.

A decision of your own?
Evidence Advisory applies the same standard to a claim your organisation is relying on, with the fee fixed before work begins and no influence over the grade. How Evidence Advisory works.
