Evidence

Challenge a record

If an Evidence Card or a Claim Check misreads a source, misses evidence, overstates a finding or contains a factual error, tell us. Every challenge is considered by a reviewer who took no part in the assessment you are challenging.

Paste the page address, or the last part of it.

What is wrong, and why? Cite the passage or source if you can (page, table or paragraph).

Up to 10 links, one per line.

Optional. Declare any interest in the outcome here.

How a challenge is handled

  1. An uninvolved reviewer is assigned

Nobody who assessed, adjudicated or approved the challenged version, and nobody with a declared interest in it, may handle the challenge. The system refuses the assignment otherwise.

  2. The outcome is recorded

A challenge is upheld, partly upheld or not upheld, with the reasons. Outcomes are listed below; your name and contact details are never published.

  3. Corrections are public and permanent

An upheld challenge leads to a correction in the Corrections Ledger. If the grade may change, the card is reassessed by two new independent assessments before any new grade is published.
